Jenn Dupilka joined the AMI team in 2021 as an Estimating Assistant. In 2024, she transitioned to the role of Office Manager. Her dedication and passion in her responsibilities are unparalleled. Jennifer Moran is Vice President and CFO of AMI. Her responsibilities include overseeing Human Resources, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Risk Management. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She worked in the financial relations and retirement plan services markets for 15 years prior to co-founding Architectural Materials, Inc. in 2004 with her husband, Sean. Kyle Laferte is an experienced and highly skilled End User Sales Specialist at AMI. He joined the company in 2018 as a Lead Technician, having worked in various trade positions before. Kyle holds multiple industry certifications and has a wealth of knowledge in the field of door opening systems. Kevin Ey has been part of the AMI team since 2013. Kevin graduated from Harford Technical High School. Kevin is the General of “general purpose” working in multiple facets of our business. While his daily assignment is Field Technician, Kevin also takes care of the AMI fleet of equipment. He has earned many industry certifications. Kevin has a knack for figuring things out, he is well-read and researched. He provides solutions to many problems that arise. Kevin is a second-generation construction industry professional and has spent many days on jobsites. Kevin’s time away from AMI is filled with side work repairing equipment, hunting, fishing, riding 4 wheelers and spending his time with the love of his life.

Kim Scott started with AMI in 2018 as an Assistant Project Manager and quickly transitioned to a Project Manager within a few months. In 2020, Kim was promoted to Operations Manager. Kim collaborates with all departments to ensure AMI is providing excellent customer service and keeping projects on time and within budget. She is very customer focused and has a passion to optimize the client experience. Kim graduated from Villa Julie College (now Stevenson University) with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has over 25 years in project management and client services.
Prior to joining AMI, Kim’s previous role as Director of Client Services solidified the client-centric philosophy she values and incorporates in daily interactions. Kim loves people and animals. She is a foster mom for Operation Paws for Homes and has adopted 2 puppies from the rescue. When she is not at work you can normally find her at the soccer or basketball stands cheering on her children.

Tony Klagenberg, a Project Manager at AMI has been on the supply side of the construction industry since 1975. Entering the commercial door and hardware market in 1996 he has over two decades devoted to managing doors, frames, and hardware. Over the years the project types have varied widely from small renovations to new out-of-the-ground buildings including schools, hospitals, offices, and more. Regardless of the project size, Tony handles each job with the same vigor and critical eye for detail. Tony is a fixture in the industry, and more specifically in the Door and Hardware Institute (DHI).
Having served as president of DHI’s Baltimore Chapter, he still maintains his association with DHI and is regarded as an expert in doors and door hardware as well as codes and standards. Tony’s expertise and tutelage helps bolster the professional execution of the entire AMI team. While Tony is not at work he enjoys swimming, horticulture, wildlife, and hiking.

Derek joined AMI in 2022 as a Shop Mechanic. He has rapidly taken on multiple rolls that suit his strengths. Derek has a keen attention to detail, is a self-starter, and takes great pride in our facility and operations output. Wyatt Moran is a third-generation door, frame, and hardware specialist and has been a part of AMI since the company’s founding in 2004 (as a toddler). With work never being too far from home, Wyatt has always been around to help and learn various facets of the business and has since worked his way into his role as a project manager starting in early 2020. He has experience in a variety of building applications including hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities, government facilities, schools, offices, and a variety of custom projects that he uses CAD to engineer and design.
Wyatt graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration of Leadership and Management in 2023 and is excited to take on new challenges as he continues in his career here at AMI.

Lane has been a part of the AMI family from birth. He is currently working on a degree in mechanical engineering and will graduate from University of Maryland in 2025. Lane’s education and abilities will strengthen and improve our manufacturing abilities. Lane has a knack for figuring things out, so we look forward to having him as a full-time partner.

Tristan Moran has been around the doors, frames and hardware industry his entire life. He has worked in metal fabrication, installation, shipping and receiving and most recently project management. As a Project Manager he is able to bring together his past experiences; utilizing industry knowledge to analyze, engineer, manage projects and exceed client expectations.
In 2023, Tristan earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. He has a passion for playing and following soccer and believes in his favorite Winston S. Churchill quote, “success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”

Karen Adams joined AMI in 2020 as a Project Management Coordinator. Karen is responsible for assisting project managers in the coordination of project activities to ensure schedules, cost, and quality standards are met. She also works to manage projects independently, as she enjoys gaining a deeper knowledge of the door world and interacting with clients to give the best project collaboration experience possible. Karen brings over 25 years of administrative, project management, scheduling, and procurement experience to the team.
Born and raised in Cecil County, Karen is an alumna of the Cecil County School of Technology and Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, DE. Her hobbies include antique treasure hunting, photography, and genealogy. Her greatest accomplishment is being mom to two amazing blessings, Aubrey and Wyatt!

Tim Waeyaert, a door industry veteran since 1989, currently working as a Project Manager at AMI who engineers and manages jobs from the submittal phase to closeout. The first 10 years of his career were in the Chicago area with the remaining in Baltimore, DC, and Northern Virginia markets. When AMI was looking for our first PM Tim was the obvious choice, he came to us with the experience and reputation that would be an immediate asset. We are proud to acknowledge that he is AMI’s first hired employee in its inaugural year 2004. Tim specializes in large scale projects and believes his success comes from being part of a strong team and never losing focus on the client’s needs. Tim always makes himself available and is responsive. He also believes in mentoring new talent while always being willing to learn and adapt to new tools, processes, and changes in the industry. Ian Dunn joined AMI in 2014 as a Field Superintendent where he oversaw projects ranging from smaller tenant fit-outs and retail to larger multi-family living facilities, psychiatric behavioral health units, military installations, and pharmaceutical facilities. Today, Ian is a Project Manager for AMI and is responsible for keeping projects on schedule and within budget. Ian has the unique opportunity to leverage his real-world field experience in order to identify and solve potential problems before they happen.
He believes that good client communication and a thorough understanding of their needs is fundamental in delivering successful projects; leading to repeat customers. When Ian’s not working, he is an avid hunter and enjoys camping with his wife and 2 children.

Tom Swindell joined AMI in 2020 working in the warehouse and quickly transitioned to the estimating department. Tom has made it his goal to build and maintain customer relationships. He spent two years at Shepherd University in West Virginia before finishing his education at Towson University. Tom approaches each bidding opportunity with enthusiasm and a strong work ethic. Tom is a semi-professional photographer in his free time.

Randy Shurr started in the door industry in 1982, a true veteran of the space. In 2021, he transitioned to the AMI estimating team after spending most of his career in project management. Randy believes his experience as a project manager provides him a unique perspective when reviewing each project, making accurate takeoffs and assembling each estimate for distribution. He is often credited by customers for discovering issues with their intended design and helping them resolve these discrepancies during the bidding process.
Randy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Arts and a Master of Education degree from Southwest Texas State University (now named Texas State University). In his past he spent 8 years teaching Junior High and High School Industrial Arts before joining his father’s hollow metal supply business as a welder and working his way up.
Randy’s time away from AMI is spent being a proud, doting grandfather to four grandchildren, collecting comic books, and attempting to carve duck decoys.

Jamie Bowman has over 20 years of experience in commercial and residential construction, beginning as a Roof and Floor Truss Designer/Engineer in 2001. Jamie started working in division 8 in 2011, managing the Service Department for an automatic door company. Joining AMI in the fall of 2015 as a Project Manager and most recently as an Estimator. His ability to effectively and creatively address his client’s needs with quality and cost-effective work has earned him repeat business.
Jamie is a graduate of St. John’s College (Santa Fe, 1999) and is active in their Alumni Community. When not working, he can usually be found at his daughters’ sports and theater events or at home with his beagle, Famous Amos.

Dave Clasing is our Lead Estimator. His role, in addition to estimating, is to collaborate with his team, set goals and help the team achieve those goals. He takes great pride in their success year after year. Dave is very personable and enjoys forming relationships with our clients. Dave attended Essex Community College and in 2012 entered the door industry. He has experience in installation, project management, and estimating. Dave is a family man and part time soccer coach who enjoys every minute with his 4 kids and wife.

Sean started AMI with his wife in 2004 and has worked in the commercial door industry since 1988. Sean believes in a team environment not only at AMI but with our customers, their clients and our vendors. With his extensive experience around construction, Sean prides himself on his ability to assist with complex applications. You will find him in the field as much as in the office as he has a very hands-on approach and will do whatever is needed to for our client’s success. Sean has served on several industry manufacturing councils which focused on innovative products and best method approaches to manufacturing, deliverables, and customer experience. As General Manager, Joe Rosensteel strives to provide the AMI team with the right tools and guidance to perform their jobs at the highest level. Joe believes that state-of-the-art technology combined with the right processes and structure contribute to the success of AMI and its employees. During his tenure at AMI, he has introduced new systems that integrate legacy industry software with state-of-the-art solutions designed to join disparate data sources; increasing team productivity.
In the past, Joe has owned his own Home Improvement company and spent over 25 years in software development. His role at AMI seamlessly marries those two passions.

Auston started in 2022 in project management, he spent the majority of his first year working on a large project coordinating the delivery and installation working with a senior project manager. This experience has advanced his industry knowledge. Auston has a wealth of customer service experience that he applies to his client interactions. Auston has his clients’ goals as a top priority and is laser focused on providing an experience beyond expectation. His projects have ranged from office renovations to new hospitals.

Kris joined the team in 2022 as an Installation Technician. Kris has vast experience in the commercial construction industry, spending a portion of this time in the government sector. Kohl Ford joined the AMI team in 2019 as a metal fabricator and quickly rose to the ranks of Metal Shop Foreman. As foreman, he is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of all work that comes out of the AMI metal shop. Bill Radke is Logistics Manager in charge of AMI’s 30,000 sf warehouse, inventory and shipping/receiving. Bill believes that following the proper systems and procedures leads to cost savings and higher throughput. Joining the AMI team in 2005, Bill has served in many capacities ranging from driver, installation technician, inventory manager, shipping/receiving and warehouse manager. Andonia DiTommaso is a part of AMI’s administrative team. Andonia believes that her support, follow through and enthusiasm allow her to successfully take on different projects from all departments.
