Role and Responsibilities
As the Accounting Lead at AMI, you’ll report directly to our CFO and be at the helm of our financial operations. With your enthusiasm and expertise, you’ll maintain accurate financial records and shape processes that elevate our performance. Your invaluable insights will inform strategy and drive decisions that mark milestones in our growth journey.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing day-to-day financial tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
- Ensuring adherence to accounting principles, policies, and procedures to maintain accurate and reliable financial records
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for business improvement
- Participating in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing guidance and analysis to drive financial performance
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations for stakeholders
- Managing the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Monitoring cash flow, coordinating with stakeholders to optimize cash management strategies
- Collaborating with auditors and tax professionals during audits and tax filings
- Staying updated on industry trends and emerging accounting practices to continuously enhance your knowledge and expertise
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Solid experience in accounting, including previous management experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills, with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
