We are currently seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join our team as an Assistant Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Project Manager at AMI, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting our Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects related to doors, frames, and finish hardware
- Collaborating with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers
- Reviewing project documentation, such as drawings and specifications, to create detailed material take-offs and cut sheets
- Ensuring timely communication and follow-ups with clients and team members
- Assisting in project tracking and maintaining updated records
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate for the Assistant Project Manager position should possess the following qualities and skills:
- A people person with strong interpersonal skills, able to work well with all types of personalities and foster positive relationships with team members and clients
- A self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently while also thriving within a collaborative team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- A working knowledge of Bluebeam Revu a plus
- Knowledge or prior experience in the doors, frames, and hardware industry is a plus, but not required
Experience
While experience in an “Assistant” role or past office experience is a definite plus, it is not a strict requirement for this position. We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude, a commitment to delivering excellence, and a willingness to learn and grow within our organization.
